Hogle Zoo entrance fees increase more than 8-fold in 62 years

Found an advertisement about Hogle Zoo in 1963. Admission back then was just 10 cents for children and 25 cents for adults.

Of course, Hogle Zoo is much larger now and has many more animals, but costs in early 2025 are $21.95 for adults and $17.95 for children. Accounting for inflation, the current cost is more than 8 times as much as in 1963.

Is Hogle Zoo overpriced?

It does receive government funding too.
