OWNING a home can be expensive. Of that, there is no doubt.
However, planning for the unexpected is wise thinking
and here are two things every homeowner should look into:
1--Make
certain your homeowner’s insurance including covering the water and sewer lines
on your property. Especially if you have trees in your front yard, they may
eventually leak or break. Adding such coverage to my existing policy was only
about $15. Without this coverage, repairs can be in the thousands of dollars.
My neighbor had such coverage when their waterline broke. But, the contractor
said that cost otherwise would have been $10,000 to fix it.
